Nyt jälleen, monien vuosien tapaan,
tämän kirjoitan Sinulle kertomaan
vaikk´ emme olisi aikoihin tavanneet
on muistot tallella, ne ei ole kadonneet.
Tänäkin vuonna, kuten aiemminkin,
aattoiltana palavat kynttilät,
niiden lämpö tuo mieleemme ystävät.
